it was really cool finding someone who really echoed my feelings, and showed me that there are so many people like who miss the expressiveness of the old web. social media has generally been weighing me down lately and i'm so glad i feel like i can really just learn to make my own little slice of the internet in my own time!

I first heard about neocities on Tumblr post encouraging people to make their own websites. HTML was too intimidating to me so I try to look up tutorials and found your VOD.
It was very encouraging I loved it, especially when you said that a website doesn't need to be polished it just needs to be you. As well as pointing out that websites can always be updated. While I don't have a website yet I'm now not as intimidated as I was to start making one.
